This variety was found in cow pastures in East Plant City, Florida, and was dubbed Purple Mystic by “Blackdove” because of the purple ring that naturally forms around the cap of this particular mushroom.

They are thought to be the cubensis kinds with the most potency by the grower.
Members of the mycology community received Purple Mystic, which they collaboratively stabilized and tamed.

This fast-fruiting type is quickly gaining favor. It has long, uniform stems and huge brown crowns that become cream as they mature. The entire canopy turns purple as veils fall and spores fall.
