On the Thai island of Koh Samui, there is a plant called Thai Tanic, commonly known as Thai Lipa Yai. Similar to the Koh Samui strain, it is a philocybe cubensis that quickly colonizes and is very resistant to contamination. It has tall, moderately thick stems and moderately large caps as traits.

Although its potency is above average, newbies are advised to take it slow at first.
